Who We Are

Michael Gill
Dharma Moon Sangha was formed by Michael Gill in April, 2009 in Emmaus and has been continuously meeting on Tuesday evenings since then. Prior to founding Dharma Moon Sangha, Michael practiced for several years with Old Path Sangha in New Hope, PA.

Blue Cliff Buddhist Monastery, Pine Bush, NY
Dharma Moon Sangha is a group of  "everyday folks" who are inspired by the practice and teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Our practice is also nourished by other great Buddhist teachers, including Pema Chodron, Jack Kornfield, Ajahn Chah, Joko Beck, and many more. Each week, we gather to practice meditation together. We do sitting meditation, walking meditation, and guided meditations. We spend a great deal of our time together in silence, enjoying the very special energy that can be generated only by collective spiritual practice.

Anyone interested in participating in a lay Buddhist sangha is welcome to join us! We welcome people of all backgrounds and all levels of experience! More details about our weekly gatherings can be found on the "Meetings/What to Expect" page. If you have any questions, please contact Michael Gill at  emmaussangha@gmail.com. Also, if you would like to receive weekly email reminders of our gatherings (and reminders of other meditation events, such as meditation retreats), please use that same email address.
